Skills Progression Program:
The NYHA had a free preview of the new Skills Progression Program (which will be accessible to all members for the upcoming season) on July 12th, 2021, run by Hockey Skills Director, Erik Carlson. Pictures have been posted on the NYHA Facebook page. These sessions will run regularly throughout the season for all NYHA members, for no additional charge.

The NYHA has added several professional coaches for the 21-22 season and they will all be working closely with Erik Carlson to develop continuity and growth. Learn more about them in the new coaching bio section: Coach Bios

The NYHA has added an Alumni section to the site to acknowledge former NYHA members that have gone on to collegiate or professional hockey success.  Check it out here: Alumni

Rule Changes:
USA Hockey has implemented several rule changes for the 21-22 season. NYHA coaches have been informed of these changes and will be prepared for the impacts. These are published here: USA Rule Changes

The NYHA makes every attempt to schedule groups on consistent days for ice time, around the same time of the day. There will be exceptions as conflicts occur with tournaments and other Novi Ice Arena limitations. These changes will be communicated with coaches and managers as soon as the information becomes available. Reference your groups schedule for planning.
