The NYHA was surprised and very disappointed to hear of the decision this past Friday, January 22nd, by the Governor and Health Department to extend the order that bans competition for contact sports (Ice Hockey) until late February. This decision creates enormous uncertainty for our teams and puts the remainder of the season in jeopardy. Due to the challenges presented and the varying needs of our teams, NYHA teams will schedule ice directly with Novi Ice Arena, effective January 31st.
